DSW had fruitful discussion with the team of Dr. Abha Shrestha at Dhulikhel Hospital.

This meeting was arranged and meant for initializing a institutional arrangement of hospital social worker in hospital setting.

The stories shared by Dr. Abha are so insightful, much needed, pragmatic and model initiatives in the field of community health services and scale up and scope of services and institutional arrangements are highly appreciative.

We as a social work educators and consultants aspire to locate institutional landscape in this multidisciplinary work matrices.

We need series of discussion before we come to sum up our position, and hope soon pilot project will be operationalized where social worker will be part of hospital health care setting and exemplary stories to be shared among institutions and policy makers.
